Look at my Earrings!!!

She always opens her eyes sooooo wide. Girlfriend is also not camera shy but she does stop smiling whenever I put the camera up to her face.

Look at her earrings! They are soooo cute. Suga Booga was mad at us after she got them done. Here is her side of the story:

Mommy, Mema and Nuk Nuk Cee Cee took me on a ride. Mema sat with me in the back seat and she talked to me and I was happy. I never have anyone in the back seat with me so it was fun. Then they took me out the car and put me in the roller thing. I like that thing cause I can see what's going on. There were alot of people walking around and I was just looking at everything then we stopped at this place and this lady was all up in my face then Nuk Nuk Cee Cee held me while she was coming at me with this thing trying to write on my face! She touched my ears with it and I didn't like that. Then Mommy got me and put me in a choke hold. She held down my hands and my head while this lady shot me in the ear with a gun! And she did it twice! I was shocked. How could my mommy and Nuk Nuk Cee Cee let her do that. Oh and to top it all off....Mema left! She was no where to be found. She knew they were trying to shoot me. So needless to say I was mad. After I stopped crying Nuk Nuk Cee Cee gone carry me around talking bout "You Ok pretty girl:. Then mommy gone buy me a toy to try and make me feel better. I got over it cause my earrings are pretty but they could have warned a baby!

Sleeping Through the Night

She opens her eyes soooooo wide!

Suga Booga is sleeping 5-6 hours straight now at night. She goes to sleep, on her own around 8:30 every night without any crying. When I lay her in her crib, she just puts her head down, sucks on her paci and goes to sleep. She only wakes up once to eat and I usually have to wake her up in the morning.
Earlier this week while she was in her high chair she grabbed hold of her paci (it was in her lap) and put it in her mouth. I was sooooo overjoyed! She is able to hold it AND put it in her mouth. Before you know it she will be able to hold her own bottle, crawl then off to college she goes! lol

She also now hates to lie back in her infant carrier so off the BRU to find her a big girl car seat!

Kendal is 4 Months Old!

Four months down.....

Well Suga is now all grown....being 4 months old! She is really growing fast. She had her 4 month well baby visit on 9/11. She is now 13 lbs 1oz; 23 1/2 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for her height and weight. Her noggin (head) is 16 inches around which puts her in the 75th percentile. She got that Williams' forehead! Suga had to get 3 shots this time and she screamed her head off. 30 seconds later she was grinning. Here is video.....BS (before shots).

Suga Booga 16 weeks

Kendal is now 16 weeks old. Next week she will be 4 months old. Last week she discovered she can do two very un-lady like things......spit and yell. She realized that her voice can get louder and she spent the morning yelling. She has also started licking her tongue out and spitting. She was so nice to share her new talent with Pa-Pa by spitting in his face.

Week 15

Look at my shoes!!!!

Suga Booga is now 15 weeks old. She weighs 12 pounds now. Last week we took our first big shopping trip out. Before we left the house I told Suga Booga that mommy takes shopping very seriously and that we will be out for a while. We left home at 10am and returned home at 8pm. She was a very good girl! When she was not sleeping she was grinning or being nosey. Suga Booga likes to sit up to see what's going on. She hates to lay back unless she is sleepy. Needless to say, we found some VERY nice clothes for her....and a few for mommy too!

Tuesday she wore her first pair of sneakers. When I put them on, she started to cry and kicked them off. So I put them back on and tied them. She kept lifting up her feet looking at her shoes.

The First 3 Months of Suga Booga

Kendal Janay is almost 90 days old…..Ninety days…..three months. I went to Target the other day and on my receipt it said “we accept returns or exchanges 90 days from date of receipt.” Most jobs have a 90 day probationary period. Most warranties are 90 days. My daughter is 90 days old; one quarter of a year. Well, Kendal cannot be returned. She is not on probation and her warranty cannot expire and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Had someone told me 90 days ago that my life would change this much, I would not have believed them. Of course I know my little girl would be my top priority but I didn’t know that I would change as a person.

90 days ago I worried very little….probably just about my family’s well being. Now I worry if Kendal doesn’t burp after a feeding. The level of my worrying is unbelievable. I worry if she cries and I don’t know why. I worry everyday of every minute about Kendal in some form or fashion.

90 days ago I had no idea how much love my heart could hold. I have loved before…I love my husband, my mom, my siblings but the love I have for Kendal is something I have never felt before.

90 days ago my identity was Pam……I am now identified as Kendal’s mom.

90 days ago my husband and I discussed current events over dinner…..now we discuss the color and consistency of Kendal’s poop while one of us eats and the other tend to Kendal.

90 days ago I strolled out of the office well after the end of my shift…..Now I rush out as soon as I complete my work, hurrying home to see my baby.

90 days ago I loved shopping for pumps, 7 jeans and little black dresses…..Now I shop for onesies, bibs and cute little girl dresses.

90 days ago I spoke in complete sentences in a normal tone. Now my voice is two octaves higher and I speaks words like Suga Booga and cutsie wootsie.

90 days ago I didn’t leave home without my Blackberry, IPod and Coach Bag…..Now I don’t leave home without my Snugli, Soothie and Baby Kaed diaper bag.

90 days ago I was a woman and a wife….Now I am a MOTHER!
